The Gold School of Motoring is a local driving school based in Gillingham, specialising in 1 week intensive driving courses for people who do not want to waste time, and money, taking 6 months to a year of weekly driving lessons to get their driving licence.

We have been established since 1993 and cover the Gillingham, Rainham, Chatham, Walderslade and Lordswood areas. In that time hundreds of pupils have gained their driving licence by taking "The Gold Intensive Driving Course".

We use the modern Vauxhall Astra for our intensive driving courses in Gillingham. Features include air conditioning, ABS braking, electric mirrors, parking sensors and dual controls. It is a very easy car to drive and a favourite with our pupils.

We offer the following Intensive Driving Courses in Gillingham:

4 Day Intensive Driving Course (22 hrs)

The 4 Day Intensive Driving Course is designed for people who have been taking driving lessons recently, with a professional driving instructor, and know how to drive on main roads and have practiced all manoeuvres. This intensive driving course is also suitable for people who have failed a driving test within the last 2 months. The 4 day intensive driving course covers all aspects of the driving test, and includes Mock driving tests.

5 Day Intensive Driving Course (28 hrs)

The 5 Day Intensive Driving Course is designed for people who know how to drive on main roads with very little help, and have practiced some manoeuvres, or for people that have not driven within the last 2 months. The 5 Day Intensive Driving Course covers all aspects of the driving test, and includes Mock driving tests.

6 Day Intensive Driving Course (34 hrs)

The 6 Day Intensive Driving Course is designed for people with limited driving experience,(10 hours or less) or for people that have not driven within the last 12 months. The 6 Day Intensive Driving Course covers all aspects of the driving test, and includes Mock driving tests. For people with no driving experience or very nervous people we recommend taking the Beginner Intensive Driving Course.

6 Day+6hrs Beginner Intensive Driving Course (40hrs)

The Beginner Intensive Driving Course is designed for people with either no driving experience, or someone who has only had about 5 hours or less. This driving course starts on a quiet estate, so that you can be confident with the controls of the car, before going onto main roads and joining traffic. You will do 3 x 2hr driving lessons leading up to the 6 day Intensive Driving Course. Nervous people or people with serious driving faults would also benefit from this longer Intensive Driving Course. This Intensive Driving Course covers all aspects of the driving test, including Mock driving tests.

In the event of a pupil not passing their driving test 1st time, having completed a 4, 5, or 6 day intensive driving course with the Gold School of Motoring Gillingham, we will pay for their next driving test (conditions apply). Please note that we are one of the only driving schools in Gillingham to offer this!

FREE re-test

If the pupil fails their driving test, after having completed a 4, 5 or 6 day Intensive Driving Course with the Gold School of Motoring Gillingham, their next driving test fee will be paid for, on condition that they take at least a 1 hour driving lesson per week, between each driving test, and a 1 hour driving lesson on the day of their driving test. All driving lessons taken between driving tests, and on the day of the driving test will be charged at the current hourly rate. The driving test fee does not include the hire of the tuition vehicle for use on the driving test (1hr).

Pass Plus

Passed your driving test? What's next?

Gain experience and save money on your car insurance. Pass plus is a training scheme for new drivers. Its aim is to improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver. It can also lead to insurance discounts. It is a short driving course with no test at the end.

The scheme has been designed by The Driving Standards Agency, with the help of the motor insurance and driving instruction industries. When you successfully complete the course, The Driving Standards Agency sends you a certificate which you will need to claim your insurance discount. The insurers in the scheme represent over 63% of the private car insurance market. Most participating insurers will give you a 1 year's no claims bonus as soon as you insure your own car. You may be able to defer the bonus for 2 years.
